Girls Academy (GA)
The leading development platform for the country's best female players, with a pathway to college and beyond.
Overview
- The leading youth development platform for the best female soccer players in the United States, and Triangle United's highest competitive level for girls.
- Member of the Girls Academy League (GA), playing in the Mid-Atlantic Conference (South Division) against 12 clubs including Wake FC, Charlotte Independence, and Carolina Core.
- Age groups: U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, and U19.
Training & games
- Up to 4 training sessions per week during the season — one typically focused on performance work (speed, agility, recovery).
- Goalkeeper training runs 2x/week for GA goalkeepers.
Competition
- At least 1 GA Event for U13–U14 and U19; at least 2 GA Events for U15–U17 (Showcase plus Winter and/or Summer).
- Playoffs available at the end of June for qualifying teams.
- Also competes in high-level tournaments including WAGS, VDA, and the Jefferson Cup.
- Over 250 colleges attended the June 2026 GA Event, with college coaches present at regular season and showcase games.
Season
Late August through May overall. U15–U19 play primarily August–January; U13–U14 play August–May.
