National 1 League (N1L)
New for 2026 — uniting US Club Soccer National Premier and US Youth Soccer National League into one national platform, integrated with ECNL.
Overview
- The top team-based competition in US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer, unifying teams nationally — formed by merging US Club Soccer's National Premier Leagues with US Youth Soccer's National League (formerly referred to as "NewComp").
- Integrated with the ECNL: the inaugural season culminates at the ECNL Conference League Playoffs and Finals in summer 2027, with district qualifiers from N1L and the ECNL Regional League competing for championships.
- Triangle United will field at least one team in the U13–U19 boys division and at least one team in the U13–U14 girls division for the 2026–27 inaugural season.
- Players can play high school soccer at the same time — games and training are scheduled around non-high-school periods.
Training & games
- U13–U14 teams: season runs August through May.
- U15–U19 teams: season runs December through May.
- Three training sessions per week, plus one additional specialized session per week for goalkeepers.
Competition
- Rosters are formed through MLS NEXT Academy tryouts and Classic tryouts.
